this past week we got a great deal on a lean pork roast and my huny tryied something new whan cooking it so that i could also eat it too and not have top worry about gaining from sodium and other preservatives. here is what he did-
1 4-6 lb pork roast
4 slices of whole wheat bread
1 Tblsp Salt free Country seasoning
1 Tblsp Garlic Powder
1/2 tsp Black Pepper
Trim off most of the fat.
Cut roast cross grain into 3/4'' chops.
Toast bread slices until bread is dry.
Crumble toatsed bread into almost powder like consistancey.
Add seasonings to bread mixture and mix thuroughly in a big bowl
Pre Heat Oven to 375 degrees
Line cookie sheet with foil and spray with non stick spray (like Pam)
Coat each chop individually with bread crumb/seasoning mixture and place on the cookie sheet
Bake @ 375 for 40-45 mins or until golden brown.
Remove from oven and let cool for 5 mins
will make aprox. 10 chops depending on thickness
