I know i have not written in a COUPLE weeks. and there is good reason for that! I was sick again, another round of antibiotics. then after i am just about done with that... the whole right side of my face feels like someone just bashed it in because of tooth pain and an abscess, which turned out to be 2 teeth needing root canals and more antibiotics.
my body has been a mess these last 2 months. i have been on antibiotics 4x in the last 2 months. my stomach is in knots, and very sensitive. i have been trying to stay focused, but it has been very hard since i have has no energy, been on painkillers and problems sleeping. On top of that my intestinal condition decided to rear its ugly head not once but 3x in that last 2 weeks as well. like i said..... i have been very sick!
Today is my last day on antibiotics, tomorrow i start probiotics to rebuild the good flora in my body, which also helps with mood and energy.
looking forward to getting back on track and dropping some lbs and inches. monthly weigh & measure is next Friday and i have a lot of water weight to lose till then.
in the meantime.... i am going to try my hardest to post everyday. Blogspot has decided to change it's format and my new computer at work does not support it with out downloading google chrome, which i am not going to do because it is not "MY" computer to decide to make those changes on, so i will need to do them from home. ugh. i really liked doing them on my breaks :( oh well.

Day 270-271- Fashion Show & Burlesque Weekend
I got a call Friday afternoon from my friend Ronnie who owns Galmarita http://www.glamarita.com/. She asked if i would be able and willing to runway model for a show that evening for the website launch for Scream sirens http://www.screamsirens.com/, it would be for a rockabilly themes fashion show and had the perfect dress for me that the orig. model that was to model it would be not be available because she was sick with the crud.

So of course i said YES....when and where. so i went to the salon where they did the hair & makeup for the show, then rushed home and fixed my makeup because i am not a blonde or a brunette.... and only certain colors of red and pink look good on me (i let the gal know that, but i don't think she cared, i even brought my own just in case) and i lacquered my hair down a bit more so that it would say in place.
the show went AWESOME! they had me go out first since rockabilly/pinup is my "thang" and because i am a "performer" meaning i know how to work the stage :) and i did. after the show i had tons of people from the audience saying that i was the best, they loved my dress and the purse i made (that i whipped up for the show) and even some of the models said that i rocked the stage and they were glad i went out first.
after the show i mingled with the crowd for a bit in the dress, belt & petty coat designed by miss Ronnie Ryno then changed back into my clothes and had a drink with some friends and headed home, because the next day would be a long one!!!
The next day was the Pasties & Paddles Production of "Fantasy's Fetishes & Fairytales" a Burlesque & Caberet show featuring fairytales, myths, childhood story book characters and more. i was Pippi Longstocking in my solo act, the cobblers wife in the elves & the shoemaker, bubble gum in willy wonka & a monster/lion in where the wild things are. (pictures to come)
it was a great show. i personally did not feel as prepared as i did the last show being that i started preparing 2 weeks before the performance with costuming and making my props. my huny was nice enough to help me paint cardboard and make supports for Pippi's horse Alfonzo.

Day 269- Recipe Friday: Sweet Potato Frise
I will admit..... i don't know how to cook sweet potatos. i have eaten them raw (they taste like a carrot & potato mixed together) most of my life or have had them prepared for me with lots of butter & brown sugar. so when i heard that sweet potatoes are some of the best carbs you can eat it made me wanna find out different ways on how to eat them. here is one i am going to try.....

Ingredients:
- 3 large sweet potatoes, cut into wedges
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp cumin
- dash cayenne pepper
- 1/4 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp salt or seasoned salt
Preparation:
Pre-heat the oven to 400 degrees. In a large bowl, toss together all ingredients until potatoes are evenly coated with oil and spices.
Place potatoes on a single layer on a baking sheet and bake for about 30 minutes, or until done.
I really like to eat these plain, but you could serve with ketchup, a ranch dressing dip or barbecue sauce. Enjoy your baked sweet potato fries!

Day 268 week 39 Results
I was going thru my pics getting ready to post them on this very blog, when i caught a glimpse of the pics from a lil over a month ago. WOW! it is a difference. Yes i purposly pulled my waistband up.... but even with that in mind you cannot deny that there is a big difference between 1/3/12 & 2/9/12! even the side shot pics!!! Yay!!! As of today i have lost 63 lbs and 5 dress sizes!!!

Days 260- 267: So Very Lost
I have been feeling LOST since November. i don't feel like myself.... and what i mean is that days have been whizzing by and i have just been doing the minimum to get by and survive. Just in the last month and a 1/2 i have been sick 2x and on antibiotics 3x had 2 root canals and a tooth extraction. I have a Big show this weekend that i just started to prepare for last week (very on like me) and still have purse and hair flowers that i have not been able to fulfill requests.
I feel like i have missed out on opportunities and fun because of struggling to get thru each day to just try to make it to the weekend only to have the weekend come and still not get much done.
I don't know what to do to get back on track. Maybe after the show this weekend i can get my head straight and get things back to "normal"
I have been keeping up (90%) on my nutrition and work outs. i also feel like i have been doing the minimum somewhat on those as well..... just enough to get by and see results. I don't feel like i have been working really hard or being really focused. had a bit of a setback this weekend when the proverbial "Aunt Flo" came to town and i gained back the weight that i had lost the last 3 weeks (3 lbs) i have been slooooowwwwwly dropping this week, keeping my food very "clean and drinking lots of water not only to help drop lbs but since i am sick once again. (so tired of being sick & tired)
Many days i want to just go home after a long day at work and go straight to bed but can't because i have meetings and obligations i have to fulfill. i also feel also like i am neglecting my huny because of all my illness, pain and obligations.
waiting to have some time for things to get back to normal..... hoping by the end of the month!!!

Day 258- Milestone: in the 170s!!!
I did it!!! i am past the 180 and into the 170s for the first time in 2-3 years!!!! WOW!!! Glad i passed up all that junk this past weekend :)

Days 256-257: Good Decisions Weekend
this weekend was pretty low key. my step son was over, so we went out for a lil bit, and i had Prop work to dofor the up coming show.....but other then that we stayed in
there was one issue that i had friday nite.... they had a free pizza coupon. the guys decided to get Pizza from a take and bake pizza place and neglected to think of me when choosing what they were going to get. so i said fine, made myself something to eat at home and hid in our room for the rest of the evening so that i would not be temped by their all meat, double stuffed pizza and smores dessert pizza. instead i had whole wheat spagetti w/ tomato sauce, roasted broccoli & chricken.
when we went out to Chili's saturday afternoon and i decided to just get the house salad with everything on the side and drink lots of water because i don't trust resturaunts. you cant mess up a house salad! everything on their menu is slathered in sauces, salt, butter and dipped in oil! yuck!!! no thanx.... i have a goal to reach :)
on sunday i was running around so much, dropping my step son back home in CDA, 2 meetings, and prop building that i forgot to eat. i was feeling grumpy, light headed and had a head ache, so while i was out getting supplies i picked up a plain turkey & swiss sandwich at the store and a water.
all in all i did good this weekend.... could have given in many, many times. But i have a goal i wanna meet and i want to get there sooner than later :)
