when shopping with my husband whenever i tell him we have a budget, then he becomes the guy who says he doesn't need anything. our budget for food every week is $50, but when we are being strict about it we have to stick to it or be under.... no going over. So about 1/2 way thru the store and he had picked out only 2 items. i kept asking him - do you need_____? he would say no because he was thinking of the need vs want aspect (aka-do i really need this or do i want it) when we got to the dairy section i asked him if he needed yougart and he looked at it, then looked away and said no. i took the calculator and showed him that we were only at $18.45 so far and that i demanded he get something.... and he did. as we were heading to the check out i said.... what is your splurge? he said sausages (polish hot dogs- bleck) mine was a sugar free energy drink. i usually have one on the weekend because i wake up at 6 or 7 on saturdays and usually don't get to bed will midnight or later.
I made a hatler top out of a t-shirt and wore it out that night with 2 skirt slips layered- red on on the bottom, shorter black one on the top. it looked ab-fab!!!
ended up reading on a friends facebook that their was going to be a fundraiser drag show at one of the local bars. being that i am a sucker for fundraiers and helping out our community i went and found a few freinds there as well. while chatting with friends and meeting new friends one of the drag queens who new that i had done faux queen before asked if i wanted to perform. I said oh no... i can't, i didn't have any music with me. and everyone at the table said that it was no problem that the DJ could get what ever i wanted. so of course i daii am in .... thinking to myself- good thing i dressed up, but at the same time kicking myself for not bringing my makeup to do my drag makeup which is more dramatic than my regular going out at night makeup.
I had originally planned to do the song tough lover from Burlesque..... but then as i was waiting for my turn, the queen before me did the exact same song. so i had to scurry up to the DJ booth and choose another song. went with Sexy silk by Jessie J and i KILLED IT. i had people coming up to me aftwards and saying i was sooo entertaining to watch. that made me feel very good.
after wards i went to my usuall haunt... the spotlight and danced for a couple hours then came home and watched SNL with my huny like we do every saturday night :)
Sunday was much of nothing... a lot of ambition but not a lot of gumption. so much so that i don't remeber much of what i did on sunday other than watch tv & seperate over 300 cassette tapes into generes. ended up going to bed a lil early that night because of my lack of energy.
