i feel like i am slacking.... not only in my eating this week, but my exercise. the show is over, i started my period for the 4th time in 5 weeks and i need a lil break. don't get me wrong..... i am not off of my plan, just adding bites of things i probably shouldn't be eating, which make me feel a lil normal and super guilty at the same time.
for example- i had a couple bites of cake tonight. yes i feel guilty, but at the same time i don't. i think it is because i am highly emotional already right now and feeling bloaty doesn't help matters

Day 161- The Curse
It is back again.......
it seems like i just fianlly got a break from my period and now it is back with a Vengance. of course this does not help with weight loss, the way i feel (cramps, fatigue), or cravings. i have been craving sourdough bread lately. Angela said maybe it is not the best time to be restricting my carbs, so i went back to my usual 1/2 c of carbs. hopefully this will be done soon.

Day 160- Clean Up
last night was the clean up party for after the show. confetti from the cofetti cannon and glitter EVERYWHERE!!!!! it took a few hours to break down the sets, haul away the bigger props and take down all the lighting. afterwards we all went to Golden Corral Buffet and talked about ideas for the next show in February..... fairytale themed!
earlier in the day i got all dressed up with my huny and we went to a belated anniversery brunch with friends of ours at the historic Davenport Hotel. sooo yummy and very off plan. it was the first time i have been off since i started this blog back in May! they had really yummy sweet potato mashed potatos with salmon fillet, rosted veges and of course melt in your mouth prime rib. i tried a lil of everything, but did not "pig out". only gained a few from it.... not bad.

Day 159- AMAZING!!!!!
The show last nite was AMAZING!!!! i had lots of friends and family show up to support me, which felt great!!! the feed back that i have heard has been awesome. apperently there was a running joke that the bearded lady (my character in the burlesque circus show) can do anything. i was a bearded lady, a preist and a doctor as well as the monkey girls organ grinding owner. I had 5 costume changes and each costume had a different set of bows to go in my beard
also from what i have heard is that my solo got a very loud wooting/hollering/applause!!! yay me!!!
My mom sent me beautiful flowers and my dad brought me flowers as well to the show. Everyone enjoyed the performance and was very impressed.

Day 158- The Day of the Show
Today is the day of my first BIG Burlesque show!!! Surprisingly i am only a tiny bit nervous.
about to go have lunch with my dad and his wife before i head to the club for a little bit to help out then it is home to hopefully take a nap, since i have been up since 5:30 am and i will probably be out past midnight, then back to the club to do hair/makeup/costuming.

Day 157- Recipe Friday: Pizza
On the food plan that i am on i do not have dairy, which has changed how i make pizza.... so here is how i do it-
1 slice whole wheat bread
tomato slices
protien of some sort.... i like to use chicken
veges (onion, mushroom, green pepper, etc)
toast bread & heat up tomatos in the microwave for a minute or so
place tomatos on toast, add seasoning and mush them with a fork
add veges of choice and top with protein
bake for 5-10 mins in a toster oven or oven

Day 156- Rehersals
Rehersals last nite went every well. all the acts are really coming together and the props look great too! Can't wait till the show..... only a couple more days. I have Tomorrow off to get last minute stuff done. Main objective- panties for my solo!!! i thought i had the perfect pair in my closet and now i cannot find them anywhere!!! i have torn everything apart looking for them. ugh!!!

Day 154- Heaviness
I had my training session with Angela this morning and in one of the exercises she had me do was to jog from one spot and back 5 times with weights. i did it not thinking anything of it. after i was done she said... you just jogged with the weight you lost so far. of course i started to cry. the weights were heavy, 25 lbs each. i never really thought about my weight in terms of objects i can carry. crazy!!!
we also talked, while i was working out, about how my body is going to change. my losses wight wise are going to be small, i probably will not get to 150, but more reasonably 170 with the muscle mass i will be build (because muscle weighs more than fat). i am fine with that.
my abdomen/lower belly is going away. my upper belly and back should be next as well as my arms. She said my legs/thighs will be the last to go. My bone/skeletal structure will say the same as it is now, but my inches will go down as my fat disappears. drinking a gallon of water a day to help with that proses.

Day 153- Less Than A Week Till The Big Show!!!

Selling more tickets (BTW- if you are in the Spokane area this Saturday..... i still have tickets!!!)

Painted sets yesterday, working on more sets and cleaning Wednesday as well as run thru. another run thru Thursday.... i took Friday off for any last minute stuff, then Saturday is the day of the show. i am not nervous right now but i am sure i will be a lil on Saturday night.
i have promised myself a drink after it is all done because i will not be driving, and i did not have one on my b-day. and the next day i am going out to brunch to celebrate his b-day, my b-day, and our anniversary from this past summer.
I am trying to work out Hard this week and drinking a ton of water. i want to look my best when i sachet down to my skives.

Day 152- The Start of Low Carb Shock
Starting today i am cutting back on my carbs per Angela's (my trainer) request. we are trying to shock my body because my weight loss has plateaued. The womenly hormonal stuff that has been going on for just about as long has not helped either..... but it is worth a shot.
so in my terms for the plan i am working, Angela wants me to cut mu carb intake in 1/2. so when i would usually eat a 1/2 c of rice, red potato or a slice of whole wheat bread.... i now have 1/4 c or 1/2 a slice. i am not to change my fruit or protein. working on drinking more water too. back to the gallon challenge.
doing so far ok. i have been craving a lot today because i ate over the weekend is what i don't normally eat.

Day 151- My Birthday!!!
My birthday was on Friday. there are only a couple things that i wanted- cupcake, sushi and dancing with friends. i did all those and then some.

Day 144- Working the Runway for a Cause
Here are just Some of the picure from the Beyond Pink Bra Auction to raise money for thermography- a type of thermal imaging to detect breast cancer which is not yet covered by insurance companies.
The candy bra which i designeds and was modeled by the lovely Bettina, raised $450!!!!
The Sailor Bra, dubbed the Bouys & Boobies Bra which i also designed, went for $125!!!
I have already been asked back for next year to design & model!!!! Yay!!!

Day 143- Recipe Friday: Microwave Baked Potato
Here is something i do to cook my potato-
take 1 potato & slice and X about 1/2 way down into the potato
Turn the potato over and put the X in the oppisite direction on the potato
take 1-2 paper towels and roll the potato up in the towel and fold the ends over
wet the potato in the paper towel, squeeze off extra water
place in the microwave folded ends up and microwave for 4-7 mins depending on the size
(4 mins- small 7 mins- large)
works great when you are in a pinch for time!!!

Day 142- YAY!!!!
after almost 3 weeks of up and down weight, bloat and other stuff, i have finally surpassed 185 and am now 184!!!! i am so excited :)
BUT...... coming up are some not on my food plan choices that have been planned for a long time.
#1- my b-day next friday. i just want 1 cupcake and sushi. i plan on sticking to "clean" sushi, but may have a bite or 2 of non clean.
#2 the morning after the Burlesque show my huny and i have planned to go to the Sunday brunch at the Davenport hotel to celebrate our B-days and anniversery (way overdue)

Day 140 & Week 21 Results
today was my monthy weigh & measure. awesome results... especially since i didnt think i did very good at my cardio this month.
weight down 6 lbs
body fat down 2.5% ..... now 25% body fat
inches down 8.5
- 2.5 shoulders
- 1.5 waist
- 2.5 butt
-.5 in each calf
-.5 in each bicep

Day 139- Will I Be On People of Walmart???
did another circus themed photo shoot with one of my fave photographers tina of Stina Rae Photography.
here was the outfit i came up with from what i had
I got lots of interesting looks and stares... again the good kind. my huny was giggling at all the peoples faces and reaction when seeing me.the greeter even greeted me 3x without taking her eyes off me. one older gentleman said "Alice in What? Land" lol

after the shoot was done i suggested that we all go to Walmart in our circus garb. i went to the one in Shadle (a suburb of spokane) and the others went to Airway heights (out by the airport. i had to return some protein bars that tasted funny. Day 138- Saturday Nite Wedding Reception!
i was invited to a wedding reception at the club i usually go dancing at almost every saturday nite, so i got extra dressed up for the occasion.
on my way there i decided to stop at the store and got asked 2x if i was on my way to homecoming. i got lots of stares (the good kind) which is always really nice.
once at the club i chatted with friends, mingled with those who i have never met before and as i do every saturday nite..... danced my A$$ off.
at the end of the nite (for me that is.... before midnight) i said good nite to the bride and groom. the bride said to me..... i have to tell you that people have been coming up to me all night and asking who that gorgeous girl who really knows how to dance is.
i was shocked! i wanted to cry because it made me feel soooo good!!!

here is my dress and the hair piece i especially made for this event. it is a birds nest made of ribbon and a lil black bird. i had lots of fun and my dress was soaked in sweat by the time i got home. i drank 3 big glasses of water while there and did not partake in the yummy looking cup cakes.

Day 137- Receipe Friday: Make Your Own Protein Bar

Looking for a good protein bar recipe? This makes a meal replacement bar at a mere fraction of the cost of packaged protein bars and none of their glycerin, preservatives, or sugar, these low-fat bars are rich in fiber and taste great with a light spread of natural peanut butter across the top. Served with a protein drink, they make a well-balanced meal.
Difficulty: Easy
Time Required: 20 Minutes
Here's How:
- Preheat over to 325 and spray a baking sheet or 9x12 baking dish with non-stick spray. The 9x12 baking dish will yeild thicker bars.
- Mix oats, powdered milk, and protein powder in bowl and blend well.
- In separate bowl, combine eggwhites, orange juice, applesauce, and the sugar-free syrup and blend well.
- Stir liquid mixture into dry ingredients until blended. The consistency will be thick and similar to cookie dough.
- Spread batter onto pan and bake until edges are crisp and browned.
- Cut into 10 bars and store in airtight container or freeze.
- Nutritional Information Per Bar: Calories-157,Carbs-23g,Protein-15g,Fat-.5g,Fiber-4g

- If you find you want a moister bar, use 1/2 cup of natural applesauce.
- Kitchen Tip for Lowfat Baking: Did you know you can replace the oil in a recipe with an equal amount of applesauce? Applesauce will add the same moisture of fat but not the added calories and it won’t alter the flavor.

- 3 1/2 cups quick oats
- 1 1/2 cups powdered non-fat milk
